DIFFERENT STYLES OF SAREE DRAPING

As we can wear the saree in a traditional way, but there are many other styles also there with different sarees, try them out and see which one works out for you. DIFFERENT STYLES OF SAREE DRAPING ARE :
- TRADITIONAL WAY
It is the most common way of wearing a saree, saree draped once around your waist and pleats are made , tucked in middle but facing left. The left cloth is put on the left shoulder to cover the lady’s torso. Pallu as the top part of the saree, pinned and plated neatly with the blouse to the wearer’s shoulder, or can be left open for lady to manage it. This is a beautiful way to wear a saree, as most of the women wear such kind of saree.
- MAHARASHTRIAN WAY OF SAREE DRAPING
By using 9 yards, this style is old and the most conservative women, As the style of wearing is like dhoti , as some of the fabric is tucked between the both legs to divide them. This saree is worn without a petticoat underneath this saree is really senn now a days except on festival occasions. This kind of saree dressing the pallu drapes the shoulder or it may use to cover the head.
- BENGALI STYLE OF SAREE DRAPING
Without putting pleats , this saree is just wrapped around the waist and drawn to the right side and pallu of the saree is on the left side. Again pulled up from the right arm, slung to left shoulder. Key bunch is also there at the edge , to complete this very feminine and attractive drap.
- GUJRATI WAY OF SAREE DRAPING
This style is not only adopted by Gujrat but many Northern states like UP, MP, Bihar and Rajasthan. In this kind the pleats are standing at right instead of left. Pallu come from back to the front from the right side, the end of the pallu is attached at the back securing it properly. When you want to display your sarees elaborate border then this kind of saree draping is very famous .
- TAMILIAN STYLE
This kind of sarees are also once again without the petticoat worn. These sarees uses multiple tuck and complicated pleats to form the comfortable as a pair of jeans if draped in a right way. The pallu is folded half and tucked into the waist and allowing lady to go about her chores.
- NORTHERN STYLE
In North, the saree is worn by the traditional way, with the end of pallu covering the bosom, in front they have like skirt pleats and pallu is drape around the shoulders, over the chest and cover the bust. It’s a good design to wear such a saree design when you want to look more demure in the front of elders.
- MUMTAZ STYLE SAREE
Charming film star Mumtaz wore such kind of saree, in such saree you have to be draping it tightly round to be your lower portion, to give it narrow look, and dramatically fling the remaining cloth over your shoulder. This style bares you midriff and makes a very slow walk.
